Orthopädie or to be
Two bodies: one young and athletic, the other older and delicate. What happens when the personalities of two dancers of different generations meet on stage? What does this clash of a very physical and explosive movement language and one that is more quiet and sensitive (maybe even fragile), evoke? This piece reflects generation and dance styles but even more it is about the meeting of two people, considers the differences and uniqueness of the individual bodies – and finding a way of making them work together and come together. The piece received 2015 the Swiss Dance Award in the category “current dance works”
This piece is stunning playful. It is a real discovery: an exhilarating, touching and provocative gift. It unexpectedly twists our way of looking and our concepts about cooperation; old and young; doing, wanting and what we are allowed to do.

A beautiful and humorous translation of the human encounter, its conflict potential, expressed with wide awareness and irony
I was very touched by the naked bluntness, trustful curiosity and the playful creativity. Most of all I enjoyed the coherent dramaturgical rhythm and the “musical” bows; no energy downfalls no scampering or carelessness but at the same time uninhibited very natural and direct.
The politics of the relationship and the power dynamics between the two dancers continually changed, making the viewing highly experiential, allowing me as a spectator to make multiple narratives and associations with the piece.
Your dance performance was a super treat. One of the best performances seen in years, maybe ever!! Beautiful concept, beautiful dancing. I woke up the next morning feeling gravity redefined.
