We see and experience our collaboration with artasfoundation, the Swiss foundation for art in conflict regions, as an important and enriching commitment.
In May 2021 Meret and Kilian spent one week in the Ukraine together with Dagmar Reichert from artasfoundation. With Tanzlaboratorium Kiev, our local artistic partners we traveled to Marjupol East of the Crimea. Here we met different associations to find potential partners for a collaboration for next year.
Instead of last fall, Meret and Kilian could start the project “Wishing Wishes” in Armenia in June 2021. For the first workshop with children and teenagers from small villages of conflict regions along the border. For one week we stayed in Dilijan in the mountains. We all lived and danced in a center and taught together with four local Armenian dance teachers. In the fall,- the second workshop will take place, where we will create a piece to tour next year in the home villages of the participants in the conflict regions.
