Komplizen

Komplizen…” /Accomplices… the new piece by Compagnie Cie zeitSprung (Meret Schlegel & Kilian Haselbeck) is an investigative exploration into what defines communities of people with a common shared goal. The performers discover that there isn’t much difference between whether you want to create dance together or rob a bank. Meret Schlegel, is a ghost, a hostess and the gang leader centering an evening full of energetic youthfulness, stoic composure and 70's funk. The community is created and mixed together through elements of slapstick, silent movies and a celebration of breakdown. It empowers the audience to start their own gang and invites them to search for their own accomplices.

Three young dancers, a mature dancer and a musician tussle with one another pulling, tugging, kicking… and all with a touch of humor. Individuals are excluded and included, until one is tossed around like a precious Ming vase reminiscent of a Buster Keaton film, only then to surrender to the Beatbox.

…And they keep on dancing until they get caught.

Komplizen (accomplices) the newest collaboration between Meret Schlegel and Kilian Haselbeck is convincing with its whimsically mischievous playfulness and great familiarity

P.S. Newspaper Zürich

I loved the rhythmical music and the shadows on the walls cast by the light, a simple but effective way to enhance a certain spectacular uniqueness.

M.P. Zürich

I loved watching Komplizen, I was able to put myself into the different characters, when they switched between being in harmony, struggling, and fighting, excluding and including one another and still belonging to one another.

AZ Grafikdesigner Zürich

Not only the rocking music, but also the dancing, is infectious.

P.Aman Choreograph Zürich

As in all human interactions there is drama, tragedy compromises, chaos and order carried along with infectious passion and very clearly love – an exciting evening!
